Lignum Vitae Centre of Hope (LVCH) is a Bahamian Non Profit Organization committed to bringing about POSITIVE social change in the Bahamas.
Our Mission: ‘Better is Possible’.
Our Vision: Is a society where all citizens have access to opportunities which promote self-sufficiency.
LVCH has a four-fold agenda:
To provide Bahamian Youth with a safe, dynamic, educational environment through 4-H programming and activities offered at the NEW Marina C. Glinton Centre in collaboration with the Bahamas Red Cross Society in Bain and Grant's Town.
To Create Innovative Programming and Opportunities for Bahamian Youth by offering U.S. based 4-H training to members of the community and other organizations working with youth.
To Equip and Empower Single, Unemployed Mothers by providing skill-training through our sewing program Hands Up, also offered in collaboration with the Bahamas Red Cross Society at the Marina C. Glinton Centre.
To Raise Awareness of Social Issues and to Highlight the Non Profit Organizations (NPOs) serving the Bahamas through our bi-annual social awareness publication The Bahama VOICE.
The organization is non-discriminatory and is not limited to any particular population, race, culture, political group or religion.
