About my work:
Mar Maestre has over seven years of experience working in business and international development. Research interests and current projects include agri-food value chains, business engagement in nutrient-rich foods, public-private partnerships in development, and social entrepreneurship.

Prior to joining IDS, she was the program and country manager at Fundacion CODESPA, a Spanish NGO in the Philippines. She also worked for four years in the private sector, as associate of Lazard, an international investment bank, advising key European companies on corporate finance transactions.

Currently, Mar is working on two case studies about the role of business in agri-food value chains as pathways to improve nutrition, based on Bangladesh and Tanzania; and on a multi-country project to assess the role of public-private partnerships in agricultural value chains.
